About Rideau River Appliance Repair

Rideau River Appliance Repair is an independent, locally owned repair company working in Ottawa. We fix fridges, stoves, ovens, dishwashers, washing machines and dryers in people's homes, seven days a week.

How We Started

We opened in March 2022. The name comes from the river, because the two parts of the city we cover sit on either side of it: Vanier and the east end, then Barrhaven and Riverside South further down. Keeping the area tight was deliberate. A technician who already knows the streets gets there faster, and a shorter drive is often the difference between a repair today and a repair on Thursday.

How a Job Actually Works

Everything happens at your place. Nothing gets carried off anywhere. The technician finds the fault in your kitchen or laundry room, explains it in one sentence without the jargon, and puts the price in writing before anything is opened up. The diagnostic is a flat fee, so you know that number before we knock. Common parts travel with the technician, which is why a good share of jobs finish on the first visit.

What We Will Not Do

We will not talk you into a repair that is not worth the money. If a machine needs a part that costs more than half of a new one, we say so and tell you what to look for instead. That costs us the job, and it is still the right call. It is also the reason most of our work arrives by word of mouth from one neighbour to the next.

What We Repair

Six appliances: fridges, stoves, ovens, dishwashers, washing machines and dryers. We work on all the common brands and keep parts moving for Samsung, LG, Bosch, GE and KitchenAid. Every repair carries a 90-day warranty covering both the part we fit and the labour that went with it.

When You Can Reach Us

Seven days a week, from 7 AM to 11 PM. Weekends included, since that is usually when an appliance decides to quit. Ring the number and tell us what it is doing, and we will book a window that fits your day rather than ours.
