Three KitchenAid call-outs written up by the technician who went. All three were built in, and none of them needed the expensive part the owner was bracing for.

KitchenAid Dishwasher

Riverside South · September 2026 · One visit

Symptom: Dead on the counter panel. Lights coming on, Clean light blinking a pattern, nothing starting.
Found: Door latch assembly worn, so the machine never registered the door as closed. The control board everyone expects to be at fault was testing fine.
Fixed: Replaced the latch and its switch, cleared the fault, ran a full cycle. A latch costs a fraction of a board, which is why it gets tested first.
On site: About an hour including pulling it out of the cabinet and back in.

KitchenAid Built-In Fridge

Barrhaven · June 2026 · One visit

Symptom: Water appearing along the toe kick every few days, with no sign of where it was coming from inside.
Found: The water filter head was weeping where an aftermarket filter had not seated properly. It was running down the back and pooling out of sight under the unit.
Fixed: Replaced the filter head and o-ring, fitted a correct-spec filter, dried out the floor pan and ran it for twenty minutes to confirm it stayed dry.
On site: Around 75 minutes.

KitchenAid Double Wall Oven

Vanier · April 2026 · One visit

Symptom: Upper cavity heating normally, lower one never getting past lukewarm, both sharing the same display.
Found: Bake element in the lower cavity had split at one end. Barely visible until the racks came out, and easy to mistake for a control fault because the panel still lit up.
Fixed: Replaced the element, checked the terminals for heat damage, then brought the cavity up to temperature and verified it against a probe before closing up.
On site: Just over an hour.
